We are proud to have been a founding partner of the Pride Afrique 2020! Pride Afrique was the first virtual and multilingual LGBTI+ Pride for the entire African continent - a storytelling festival reclaiming Afro queerness. It featured interviews with leading LGBTI activists in the continent, LIVE sessions and performances. It took place on 14-16 August 2020. Not Only Voices has worked closely with the event's organizing committee since its first days to help shaping the agenda and content. We have also used our network to reach out to local grassroots organizations, facilitate meaningful connections and interview activists in Portuguese speaking countries in Africa. According to Facebook and Instagram analytics, Pride Afrique has reached at least 350,000 people! If you have missed it, most of the content is still available via their website.
